The creators have released the first trailer for the new version of the Goldilocks fairy tale. The film, based on the motifs of a classic story, was largely shot in the Jeseníky region and Sovinec castle. It will hit theaters next January.
The new version of the popular fairy tale Goldilocks from the pen of the screenwriter Lucie Konášová reveals for the first time what its adaptation will look like after more than 50 years. At that time, Petr Štěpánek played the main role of Jiřík, but the audience will not miss him this time either. In the new fairy tale, he will be introduced as the king, Goldilocks' father, and actor Tomáš Weber took over his role. In addition to him, Marek Lambora, Jasmína Houf, Ján Jackuliak, Marián Mitaš, Tomáš Matonoha and Jan Budař will also appear in the film . The makers have now unveiled the first teaser of the film, which will hit theaters on January 23, 2025.
In 1973, the then TV fairy tale Goldilocks included Petr Štěpánek as Jiřík among the acting idols. Now the popular actor returns in the role of the king, and actor Tomáš Weber will play his original role of a young man fighting for the favor of the golden-haired princess. "It's a great honor for me and it was a great challenge for my homeland to remake a classic while respecting the Czech fairy tale tradition," explained Tomáš Weber, who can currently be seen in cinemas, for example, in Jiří Mádl's film Waves. " This scenario is of course a little different than back then and features a lot of animals that also talk. Here, too, Jiřík goes after Goldilocks, but he is accompanied by animals," Petr Štěpánek added to the scenario.
Jiřík is accompanied by his dog Štístko, who is "played" by a Parson Russell terrier named Boreggo. And so is his friend Štípán, who is played by Marek Lambora . "But his closest friend turns into a bit of a bastard," explained the actor of Jiřík's companion. " I was very grateful to Marek Lambora for his advice on the set. He was my guide through the world of big epic filmmaking," confided Tomáš Weber, for whom this role was the first big opportunity after studying at JAMU.
Princess Goldilocks, for whom Jiřík and Štěpán are somewhat competing, is played by the young actress Jasmína Houf . And she also praises the cooperation with a more experienced colleague. " The environment of the film is new to me and Marek Lambora helped me a lot. He advised me that it was not self-centered, we discussed our dialogues, we confided our ideas to each other. When I was very nervous and something failed, he always supported me. And besides, he's incredible fun," confided the young Goldilocks.
The film, directed by Jan Těšitele, was shot in the spring of 2024 in many locations here, in Slovakia, but also in Italy. Ján Jackuliak, Marián Mitaš , Tomáš Matonoha, Jan Budař or Martin Myšička appear in it in other roles.
The premiere of Goldilocks is scheduled for January 23, 2025, when it will be sent to cinemas by the distribution company Bioscop. The production trio Viktor, Boris and Igor Krištof, whose portfolio also includes the film Princess under a spell, QQ studio Ostrava, Clever Turtle Productions and Alef Film & Media (SK), are involved in the film. The screenplay for Zlatovláska was written by Lucie Konášová, the author of the screenplay for the film Angel of the Lord. The film's partners are VOYO and TV Markíza, the film was supported by the State Cinematography Fund, the Audiovisual Fund, Creative Europe MEDIA, the South Moravian Film Fund, the Olomouc Region, the Pilsen Region and the Moravian-Silesian Region.
