At the beginning of October, the Moravian-Silesian Region announced a subsidy program to support audiovisual production. In the Operational Program Just Transformation, 46.7 million crowns are prepared for Film Vouchers. Productions for feature-length feature films and documentaries, animated films and projects for TV and online broadcasting created in the Moravian-Silesian Region can receive support. Filmmakers can receive from 250,000 to 3 million crowns, depending on the type of film.
"By supporting audiovisual production, we will also contribute to regional development. Shooting involves the use of a whole range of local services. Filmmakers strengthen the local economy by staying here, using local craftsmen or even artists, eating here, in short, leaving part of the production costs here. Films, series and documentaries created in our region draw attention to it as an interesting place, and also strengthen its prestige," said Deputy Governor Lukáš Curylo , adding that it will be possible to apply for European money from the beginning of this November until the end of 2026. Finances successful applicants will receive a one-time subsidy paid ex post.
The Moravian-Silesian Region supports audiovisual production for a long time. In 2019 and 2022, he offered support to filmmakers who shoot their films at least partially in the Moravian-Silesian region. More than ten films have already been supported from the regional budget as part of the subsidy program, for example: A Woman's Revenge, The Princess Cursed in Time II, Behind Everything Look for a Woman, Murder or The Man Who Stood in the Way.
